PROFILE OF VESTALS CATERING: BUILDING ON COMMUNITY

ECEP NEW MEMBER PROFILE

Growing up with a passion for food, founder Jordan Swim’s most memorable childhood moments happened around the table. These dining experiences shaped his passion for food and hospitality. He spent his college days experimenting in the kitchen, cooking for friends, and dreaming up the business that would one day become Vestals Catering, the name is the middle name of Jordan's grandmother.

Our profile of Vestals Catering begins in 2008 when Jordan and his wife, Emily, began hosting a backyard dinner series called “Food Creates Community,” with the core belief that the table is a unique opportunity to slow down and connect. They started to get requests to recreate that same experience for others and Vestals Catering was born.

With growth that came from exposure in local publications, Vestals moved in 2014 into its own space in East Dallas. This upgrade offered new visibility to the community, and business doubled. In 2018, the company catered the president’s dinner at Abilene Christian University, which advanced Vestals into large-scale event catering. In 2022, the company moved to the heart of the Design District and opened its Austin office with the goal of becoming the premier catering partner in Texas.
